n established leader in health research, programs focus on promoting health and preventing injury, innovation in health sciences, the application of new approaches and technologies, and the translation of research into practice and policy. The new Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute (CHIRI) will build on these strengths and focus on reshaping the health system to meet the needs of a changing community. Key partnerships with industry and health organisations will be facilitated by the Institute, which will also perform a health advocacy role, leading change and improvement in the health system. Curtin will move forward on health research: providing hands-on experience for the next generation of health professionals.
